7:13 PM ● Knee cap dislocation

Would like to keep a memory on this epic 21st birthday gift, hopefully, once in my lifetime injury:
KNEE CAP DISLOCATION

So, story goes, I fell down i think on the 8th of Sept? okay. so I was at a Thai Disco, had a bit of drinks, then somehow my kneecap dislocated and i dropped to the ground. Colleagues sent me to A&E at TTSH. The problem here is, the percentage of anyone's kneecap to dislocate, is less than 1%. I was in flats and it was a flat ground. -.- so the chances of dislocation should be really low. All I could conclude was, SUAY. okay. It was the first Thai club in SG, it was the last few days of the chinese 7th month ghost festival, and i was on my period. So this is how a knee cap dislocation look like (Googled. it was too painful to take a picture on the spot)

Then I spent a night in A&E when the doctors made me sleep and pushed the kneecap back. when the knee cap dislocated, the ligament on the inner thigh tore. so i was casted and used a crutch. My leg had no strength at all. Overall, I was casted for about 2 months before I changed to a brace (like a cast but angle can be controlled).
First casting

Changing of cast

Oh, did I mention, it happened few days before my 21st Party. So you see me in crutches. Supposed to be a pool side party? ):

Changed to brace

Size of my injured leg compared to my normal leg. Smaller cos all the muscles were gone.

After changing to the braces, I waited for almost 3-4 weeks before being able to do a MRI scan, which delayed my whole recovery process. Wear the braces longer meant more dying of muscles. My doctor is from pakistan and he is so damn rough, really dislike seeing him. After the MRI results were out, I was transferred to the sports doctor, who is really nice, friendly and gentle. He showed that he was really concerned about my progress to recovery and had the sense of urgency to immediately called the physio department to let me go first physio on that day itself rather than dragging any longer. so I went for my physio and the therapist is really nice too. First treatment he taught me some exercises and put me through this electrocuting equipment. SUPER WEIRD :/ but it did help. now, i'm able to bend my knee, more than 90 degrees. ^^
So finally now, after almost 3 months, i'm going through physiotherapy.
Taken last week

My sports doctor said the chances of it happening again have increased to 10%. Please, dont let me go through this again.
I really cannot wait to recover fully!!
